Cursed Definitions!
8 out of the 9 problems I got wrong on the test were definitions.
Just my luck.
I study the concepts, the problems and the steps to complete them…
AND THE TEST IS HALF VOCABULARY. 53% and that was AFTER Emily was kind enough to forgive one of my answers.
Awesome. I like watching my grade die a slow agonizing death.
P.S. MML is one of the most unforgiving pieces of software ever created....
I am drowning
and today I begin my desperate ascent back to the surface. Two weeks left. This is where I make or break myself. I hate it when personal problems interfere with my goals. I am dedicating this entire Saturday to catching up and making sure I understand concepts that I obviously haven’t grasped. See you guys on Tuesday.
Oh, and check out the new studio project I threw together with my friend...
The Great Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch
Since I missed the field trip on thursday to work on a massive Philosophy paper, part of the alternative assignment (aside from answering some insane back-woods word problems, ha!) is to read about The Great Pacific Ocean Garbage patch and offer an opinion. I often wonder where the world’s trash ends up, being as most of us, and not just in this country, tend to just throw it out and forget...
The 4th.
I hope everyone had as fun of a weekend as I did.
Except when my friend’s girlfriend backed into our gas meter. Is it possible that a sober girl is a scarier driver than a drunk guy? Haha Just kidding. That’s terrible.
But, I’m glad the Los Lunas Fire Dept. was on stand-by! We fired off 9 boxes of artillery shells and about 6 Roman candles.
However, there is a strange irony in...
Blogging Bewilderment
There is so much homework to keep up with that I keep dismissing the blogs.
WTF D00D?!
I hate to seem pessimistic but I’ve learned my lesson about taking any math during the summer. It feels way too condensed. Ugh, I am radiating with negativity!
Glad My Class Mates Got 100%'s Cause...
I definitely did not. This is the worst grade to date. I will be doing this test over if it’s possible. I am so disappointed in myself! You would figure between the math rings, the homework, the test error analysis projects and the lab I would be past getting ridiculous grades. I want to keep the A I have, but if this happens consecutively, it won’t be there for much longer. I...

Stoned Wallabies Blamed For Australian Crop...
The Huffington Post
June 25, 2009 04:17 AM EST
SYDNEY — Wallabies snacking in Tasmania’s legally grown opium poppy fields are getting “high as a kite” and hopping around in circles, trampling the crops, a state official said.
Tasmania Attorney-General Lara Giddings told a budget hearing Wednesday that she had recently read about the kangaroo-like marsupials’ antics...
Module 5
So I took module 5 this afternoon, (I wasn’t able to take it in the morning), and I only missed 2. I feel like my math skills are improving substantially. I feel more focused on the problem at hand and less anxious everyday. It’s good to be submerged in a subject that I am not strong in, even though there is so much to keep up with. Perhaps between the stress of keeping an organized...
ACAM Analysis
Two more brutal modules and I managed to pass both of them with fair satisfaction. I passed the first one with an A and managed to pass the other, BARELY scraping by with an 80.0%. I didn’t study for either of these tests I just spent time doing the homework. I think I might be one of the few and the very lucky to be able to get away with minimal study. I pay such close attention to what is...
Tests. Tests. Tests!
I finally feel as though I am getting back into the game of math. Although I have been taking college level classes for the last semester, I haven’t taken any math until now. Scoring a 16 in the math section of the ACT left me very discouraged before entering my Math 100 class. Being as this is a summer course, it is more condensed. I think this is a good thing as I’m being fully...
Summer Math 100 (Water Balloon Therapy)
June 09, 2009
We met our Math 100 instructor, Emily Miller, who briefed us on our upcoming journey into the exciting (and often horrifying) world of math. She covered the syllabus as well as what she expected from us during the course. She gave us an opportunity to express what we expected from her as well. After a brief discussion, we walked outside to a building known as “The Highway to...
